We are often (always) asked how we, Berit, an architect from Munich and Sara, a graphic designer from Boston, wound up in Costa Rica, on Playa Sámara, building and operating a bed and breakfast. Destiny brought us together at the Gay Games in Amsterdam, and our dreams brought us to Sámara at the dawn of the new century. We have found that our dream, of living happily in paradise while offering our guests a delightful holiday on the beach, requires continuous nurturing. We are actively working every day to preserve our environment, so that we, our neighbors, and you, our guests, can continue to enjoy the social and natural wonders and diversity of life in our fragile little seaside village.
