Just a few years ago, Sámara
was described as a “sleepy little fishing village.” While the
soccer field remains the focus of the Tico pueblo, we are witnessing rapid
growth, with new restaurants, shops, hotels and other buildings cropping
up everywhere. We are still somewhat isolated from the chaos, just a five-minute
stroll down the beach to the center. From LazDívaz you can walk or
bike to Carrillo, the next bay to the east, or to the turtle nesting reserve
on Buena Vista beach. Rise at 5:00 am to visit Humedal Cantarrana, one of
our last remaining wetlands, to watch the resident birds start their day.
Once you arrive we will give you our custom map of the village, and we'll
personally lead you in the right direction.
