In 2002 we organized the Environmental Committee of Playa Sámara, and maintain the headquarters and nerve center here at LazDívaz.
In addition to organizing beach clean-ups, tree plantings, and educational activities for school children and visitors, we create documentation and work with local authorities to monitor activities that endanger the biodiversity of our area.
Sadly, with more and more unregulated “development,” our few fragile areas of wildlife habitats are diminishing with each passing day.
Our own garden is
frequented by various critters, who are given free license to graze. After all, WE are the visitors here!

On the ground, in the trees, and flying through the air—we have wildlife!
