Wildlife at LazDívaz

In 2002 we organized the Environmental Committee of Playa Sámara, and maintain the headquarters and nerve center here at LazDívaz. In addition to organizing beach clean-ups, tree plantings, and educational activities for school children and visitors, we create documentation and work with local authorities to regulate activities that endanger the biodiversity of our area. Our prime project is to preserve Humedal Cantarrana, a wetland that is home to more than 42 species of birds, and under threat of urban development. Our own garden is visited daily by various critters, who are given free license to graze. After all, WE are the visitors here!
